Under CRS 18-12-105.5(3)(a) and (d.5), it is not an offense if the weapon is unloaded and remains inside a motor vehicle on college/university grounds, or if a handgun is carried by a person with a valid concealed carry permit, provided it is not carried in violation of CRS 18-12-214(3).
